After attending the webinar, you will have the opportunity to apply officially for Maryknoll Lay Missioners.

If you are considering applying to become a Maryknoll Lay Missioner, please note that we look for applicants to have:

• Skills that can be used in ministry in a cross-cultural setting.
• Prior experience (paid or volunteer) that prepares them to work with communities affected by poverty and/or marginalization.
• Prior experience (paid or volunteer) engaging with people from a different culture, background, or ethnicity in the U.S. or overseas.
• A faith motivation and an interest in engaging in mission in the context of a Catholic community, though applicants of all faith traditions are eligible and encouraged to apply.

The priority deadline to submit the full application packet is January 15 of each year. If not all spots are filled in that year’s orientation class after the January deadline, we will continue to accept applications through March 31. We recommend you begin this first phase of the application early so that you will have enough time to complete all the steps in the process before the deadline.
