  • Transportation to and from your host country at the beginning and end of your contract
  • A monthly stipend that covers your living expenses from the beginning of the orientation program through the end of your contract
  • Tuition for and travel to/ from any needed language training in your host country
  • Payment of your student loans while you are under contract
  • Comprehensive health insurance while you are overseas
  • Life insurance and workers’ compensation
  • Annual 4 weeks of vacation to allow you to rest and recharge
  • Annual retreat days
  • A regional orientation by the Maryknoll Lay Missioners team in your host country, guiding and accompanying you in everything from getting settled into housing to finding your way around in the area where you live
