The Sending Ceremony will be livestreamed here on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, at 2 p.m.:

We are delighted that on Dec. 8 and Dec. 10, 2022, we will bless and send into mission four new Maryknoll lay missioners and three children: The Johnson family of five, from Sequim, Washington, will be serving in Tanzania; and the Silveus-Lattanzi family, most recently from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, will be going to Haiti.

On Thursday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m., the candidates will sign a “Covenant” that will commit them to mission as members of Maryknoll Lay Missioners.

On Saturday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m., they will be sent forth into mission. Representatives of all four Maryknoll entities (Maryknoll Sisters, Maryknoll Lay Missioners, Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, and Maryknoll Affiliates) will participate in the Sending celebration in the Chapel of the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers in Ossining, New York. The keynote speaker will be Susan Gunn, director of the Maryknoll Office for Global Concerns.

Maryknoll Lay Missioners
Compelled by faith to engage with people across cultures and ethnicities, Maryknoll lay missioners live, love and work with communities on the margins to promote active nonviolence and healing.
