Maryknoll Lay Missioners now has a new set of tools that will make peer-to-peer fundraising very easy. Thanks to a new partnership with Give Lively, the organization now offers attractive and easy-to-use web pages and forms that are particularly designed for “peer-to-peer” fundraising campaigns: that is, campaigns that can be started and managed by individuals, and can enlist friends and family to join in the effort.

Maryknoll Lay Missioners is inviting and encouraging all missioners, staff, board members, returned missioners and other friends to use this Giving Tuesday (Nov. 29) and the coming Advent season (Nov. 27-Dec. 24) as opportunities to reach out to their friends, family and supporting communities with an appeal for support.

It is very easy: To participate in this joint effort (or to find out more), visit either the campaign page for the 2022 Giving Tuesday fundraiser or the campaign page for the 2022 Advent fundraiser. Then click on the “I want to fundraise for this” button and create an account with your e-mail address and a password; this will allow you to log in and update your page at any time.

Once you are logged in, you can upload a profile photo, add a personal note to appear on the page, and a fundraising goal (optional). You can keep the big image from the main page, or upload your own. Click Save and your new fundraising page is ready to go.

Finally, don’t forget to click the “Share this page” button, which you can use to quickly post it on Facebook or Twitter, or send the link by e-mail.

P.S. As an extra bonus, any gift to these fundraisers (before Dec. 31) will be matched/increased by 50% through our WALK WITH US campaign: A $50 donation will become $75, and $100 will become $150!

Please email Amanda Paccha with any comments or suggestions.
