Rick Dixon is a Maryknoll Lay Missioner serving in El Salvador since 2012. He recently authored an article in Maryknoll Magazine sharing how one of his projects in mission, a library in La Esperanza, helps support kids in poverty-stricken neighborhoods and develops family literacy. The library project was created after a participant of a Friends Across Borders MKLM immersion trip saw the conditions of La Esperanza and started sending books to Rick and his lay missioner colleagues.
