We were honored to receive Archbishop Kurtz of Louisville, KY and president of the U.S. Bishop’s Conference on Monday, Sept. 8 after he opened the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers General Chapter on Sunday, September 7. At the invitation of MKLM Executive Director Sam Stanton, the Archbishop visited our mission center in Ossining, NY and learned of our history as an organization, the impact we have in mission and how laity is positioned as key to the future of mission efforts through the U.S. Catholic Church. Before his departure on a morning flight, Archbishop Kurtz tweeted this picture with Sam standing in front of the Hudson.
