Today, we continue our #MeetaMissionerMonday series by introducing one of our newest missioners, Kylene Fremling (Cambodia). Kylene jokes that she has always wanted to become, in her words, a professional volunteer. She has a BS in Exercise Physiology from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. Kylene has served with Americorps in Sitka, Alaska and at a women’s homeless drop-in center, Women’s Hearth in Spokane, WA. She has also volunteered with a hospital neonatal intensive care unit and a men’s transitional living center.
Kylene, who lives in Spokane, WA but hails from Brookston, MN, has been involved in her parish helping with youth ministry retreats. Even though she has experience in wellness, she is open to seeing where she will best be able to serve the people in Cambodia.
Please join us in praying for Kylene as she begins this meaningful chapter in her life. We hope that you wish her well and support her in her endeavors. To learn more about MKLM and the good work that you can make possible, please visit www.mklm.org.
Please share Kylene’s story and Maryknoll Lay Missioner with others, especially committed Catholics who may be discerning God’s call to serve.
