Dave Kane, a returned long-term Maryknoll Lay Missioner (Brazil, U.S.) now working out of Brazil with the Maryknoll Office for Global Concerns, is quoted in this article, published in the Catholic Herald. The article discusses the Pope’s forthcoming encyclical and includes Kane’s viewpoint that the issues the Pope will address will go beyond climate change. “The solution is a radical change in our concept of what makes a person happy. We need to move away from the idea that the more things we have, the happier we’ll be,” Kane said.
