During Bolivia’ strict COVID-19 quarantine, Maryknoll lay missioners Cortney Freshwater and Juan Gomez have been providing daily meals to hungry people in Cochabamba. As a result of the pandemic, many have lost their livelihoods and/or are living on the streets. Juan and Cortney have served up to 130 meals per day.
Compelled by faith to engage with people across cultures and ethnicities, Maryknoll lay missioners live, love and work with communities on the margins to promote active nonviolence and healing.
