On Saturday December 2, 2017 Maryknoll Lay Missioners (both currently contracted, RMs, and our 7 new missioners), former staff, Congregation, Society and Affiliates gathered to remember Jean Donovan, Maura, Ita and Dorothy. Around 40 people came together for a reflective morning in the chapel of Regina Coeli that included readings, quiet meditation, songs, sharing about Jean from those who knew her and watching “Roses in December”, a documentary about the assassination of the four women in El Salvador in 1980. And of course, her guitar which was gifted to us recently by Fr. John Dear was at the center of the chapel.
